Our first summer hike & outing is this coming Tuesday, June 4th at Lichen Loop Trail. We will be meeting at 10:30am at the trailhead. Remember this is the only hike that is not stroller friendly, so bring something to carry your babies & toddlers in. The hike is 1.25 miles long-it is a kid friendly hike, so we will be going slow. There are bathrooms at the trail head along with picnic tables. We will hike and then eat our lunch at the picnic tables. Immediately following lunch, we will head to Lyon's Soda Fountain for an ice cream treat. Come join us for a fun, beautiful hike!
Directions to Lichen Loop Trail
From Boulder, take US 36 North 4.7 miles to
Left Hand Canyon Drive.
Take a left onto Left Hand Canyon Drive for 0.7 miles to Geer Canyon
Road. Look on the right for the Heil Valley Ranch sign and take a right
onto Geer Canyon Road, a maintained dirt road and head North through
private property 1.3 miles to the trailhead. Heil Ranch parking will be
on the right side of the road. It is important to know that Geer Canyon
Road is private and you cannot park your car along the side of the road.
Be mindful of free range cattle crossing sections of Geer Canyon Road.

Our little ‘gig is located right smack in downtown Lyons, Colorado. Just head into town on CO Highway 36; once you get into town, "we are at the light on the right!"
