Our speaker is Calvary MOPS alumna Kim Novak!  Kim is a family therapist and is going to speaking on anxiety and depression, resources and tools on how to cope, and how to lean on God's strength in the midst of these struggles.  Its estimated that 40 millions Americans (18% of the population) deal with anxiety or depression, so it will be great to learn more to either help yourself, friends, or even your children.

Our speaker is Dianne Daniels.  Dianne Daniels is a certified parent coach, committed to helping moms learn the skills they need to feel great about their parenting. She is the author of Mothering Like The Father: Following  God’s Example In Parenting Young Children, and has contributed to seven devotional books, as well as several magazines.  She is also the former host of a radio show for moms. She speaks to parents all over Colorado and loves encouraging and equipping them to follow God more closely in their parenting.  Dianne and her husband live in Parker where they are blessed to parent two wonderful daughters, and two noisy but lovable beagles.

We also have a really fun metal stamping craft!

Our speaker is Dr Lisa Amerine, a Calvary MOPS veteran!  Dr Amerine is a practicing homeopath in Lousiville, a graduate of the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and mother of two girls.  She'll be speaking on natural health and how that ties into all areas of our lives.

We'll also be making first aid kits and having a CPR/first aid refresher available.  

Also, don't forget this is the last week to bring school supplies to benefit Columbine Elementary!

Our speaker is our own Amy Lannigan!  Amy received her M.D. from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.  She is board certified in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine.  Amy is married to Peter and they have 3 small boys - twin toddlers and a 10-month-old!  She will be speaking on Building Resilience in Children - equipping kids to deal with the stressors and challenges life might bring their way.  In her free time, Amy can be found baking bread with her 3-year-old assistants.  

We'll also be making a cute craft - scrub jars!

Our speaker for this week is Rebecca Cores.  Rebecca lives on a small farm in Loveland with her husband and six children.  Her first four children are all boys and then she had a little girl and they adopted another little girl of similar age.  She home-schools all of her children, oh my!  Rebecca will be answering questions related to our topic "Courage To Be A Sticky Faith Mom".

Our theme for this year is "Be You Bravely" with our theme verse from Isaiah 43:18-19, "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."

MOPS Cancellation due to snow

Hi Ladies,
Since we are expecting quite a bit of snow tonight into tomorrow, we've decided to cancel tomorrow's meeting.  Hope you guys have a nice quiet morning with your kiddos and hopefully we will return to spring-like weather for next week's trip to the zoo.  Take care!

MOPS Meeting Reminder & Weekly Announcements- 4/9/2013

• Our “Lifesavers” Outreach Day is coming! At our next meeting on April 9th, we will be collecting toiletries and organizing them into Welcome Kits for the Emergency Family Assistance Association (www.efaa.org).  It is outreach day so we will be assembling kits that will be given to families in need.  Remember to bring any of the items listed below (they can be purchased at the dollar store) to our meeting on Tuesday.  
• Shampoo and conditioner
• Bar of soap
• Deodorant
• Lotion
• Toothpaste
• Reusable bag
• On Tuesday April 16th, we have our playdate for this month at the DENVER ZOO!  We will be meeting there at 9:30 outside the main entrance by the giraffe sculptures.  Remember to bring a sack lunch and a blanket.

MOPS Meeting Reminder & Weekly Announcements- 3/12/2013

Our next Mops meeting is this Tuesday, March 12th.  We have a panel of men that will be speaking and answering all of our burning questions about being a father and husband.   It is the only meeting for the month because of spring break, so we hope to see you there!  

This week's announcements:

• The playdate for this month will be planned by your DGL so stay tuned for that.  

• Our MOPS meeting that is scheduled for April 9th is our Spring Outreach Day.  We will be collecting toiletries at this meeting to make Welcome Kits for adults and children entering emergency shelters here in Boulder County.  The kits will be delivered to Emergency Family Assistance Association, who will distribute to their shelters as needed.  
• The items we are looking for include FULL SIZES of:
• Shampoo and conditioner
• Bar of soap
• Deodorant
• Lotion
• Toothbrush and toothpaste
• Reusable bag
• The cost for each Welcome Kit, if purchased separately at Dollar Tree, should come in at less than $6.

• The last reminder before our meeting on Tuesday...Please remember to clearly mark your child's diaper bag with their name before dropping them off.  It helps our childcare workers so much when they can easily identify the bags.  Thanks and see you all soon!  

MOPS Meeting Reminder - 2/26/2013

Hi Girls!  This week's meeting should be really fun.  We'll be talking about meal planning and we'll have a panel of MOPS mom that range from the super planned out, type A moms to moms that run to the pantry at 5:00 with no plan in mind at all.  Should be fun to see both extremes and get some tips!
